The Kalamazoo Enterprise Center is the former site for Gibson Guitar. Located in an official state Renaissance Zone, the Enterprise Center became a nationally registered "business incubator" in 1985.

An incubator is designed to help businesses survive and grow during the start-up period when they are most vulnerable, and that's what the Enterprise Center does by accommodating the special needs of new businesses.

It offers flexible space that can be expanded or contracted; flexible lease terms; economical cost; practical location; helpful support; and shared services and equipment. Dozens of successful businesses have developed and grown under the Enterprise Center's roof including Gibson Guitar, Richard Allan Scientific and Stryker Medical.
